Control is an astonishingly beautiful game. When I played this game on Epic, I already knew that it was the Game of the Year 2019 and it was using ray tracing. However, I did not know that it was so nice. The environment is so weirdly appealing. The game takes place in the Oldest House, which is a Place of Power, and this place has a unique esthetic. Beside the impactful and nice visuals, the gameplay is nice too. It is so fun to play Control. The shooter mechanics are successfully integrated with the telekinesis ability of Jesse Faden, the protagonist of Control. Of course, the visuals and mechanics must be complemented with the under appreciated part of the games: Sounds and Music. They are really good, for real. Sounds of Control is what made me immersed in this game. Character animations, especially face and lips movement, were a bit off. I believe they are somewhere on the steep slopes of the uncanny valley. At the end of the day, this game is awesome.
