Where the River Divides

GroveClan and EskerClan formed many moons ago and they've lived in these territories for generations.

Long ago, cats of no allegiance fought over the land they could live in and the prey it contained. They never even considered trying to live in harmony, in groups, until they faced a danger that threatened to wipe them out entirely. Two cats, half-brothers, stepped forward and took the lead. Though their previous names were lost to time, they took on the names based off the territory they divided amongst the two of them; Grovestar and Eskerstar. The two toms lead their Clans with pride and kept the peace for a long time. They created a society and a system, building a fair and just code for all cats to live by.

Many seasons have passed, and now the winds of change are beginning to chill the clans to their bones. Will you face this strange new world like a warrior, or will you retreat into the life of a kittypet? The choice is yours.

A New Group Joins the Brawl!

We'd like to invite you to join us at Where the River Divides and take a look at our newest group: The Guided Current. To somewhat explain them to you, I'll provide the history and who the council is!If you want to read more about them, you'll have to come visit us!

It started a very long time ago; longer than any living cat can fathom, or so they say. While most consider this a kit's tale, it is nothing but truth to those of this group. Long ago, when all was in chaos and cats fought cats for food and territory, four great Elders came and brought peace. Each of them were wise, and each of them was the master of a particular skill. They brought with them religion and gave purpose to every cat that followed them. It hadn't been long before near every cat was following in their path and trusted them to lead. All was fair, and the four leaders ruled equally over what became their four factions; prophecy, hunting, battle, and medicine. These Elders led for a long time, and each took under their wing but a single apprentice to lead after their demise. When those apprentices took over, and began to train their own, rumors spiraled around that four kits, each belonging to different factions, and ones who showed extreme promise, were The Elders Incarnate, born again as apprentices of their trade. Just as the previous elders, these ones passed and The Apprentices took their place. From then on, rumor was considered gospel and it was all but the truth that both The Elder and The Apprentice would be born again, switching places, in a cycle of life to lead this group on through countless generations.

The Elder of Prophecy receives and interprets messages or omens from their ancestors, called The Spirits. They are usually the most respected, but have as much power as the others. They run their own faction and teach the very few others they think are fit. They are the cat most turn to for emotional support and guidance during hard times. Additionally, they are in charge of pairing up cats to be mates.

The Elder of Hunting is in charge of hunting and supplying the rest of this group with food. This elder teaches others in their faction the best ways to hunt and is commonly very skilled at the task themselves. They have the power over where hunting parties go, where food gets distributed first, and keeping track of the common movement and behaviors of their prey, etc.

The Elder of Battle is very much like a general. They are the head of any war or battle and is the main strategist. They are also in charge of teaching those given to their faction how to defend their land against all kinds of creatures.

The Elder of Medicine is in charge of health and healing. They are an all knowing guide on herbs and healing, and are in charge of collecting and prepping their medical stocks.

Seeing the kit, both cats leap into the river to to save him. Pollenbreeze manages to grab the kit. Koibreeze, on his way to Groveclan, runs into the trio and pulls Pollenbreeze from the water.
