We miss recognizing the people we're talking to.
On Instagram, everything passes. On Reddit, a good conversation can end when the post disappears from view.
That's part of why we started ATARASHII on 24 May 2021, during corona. We had good conversations and met people we liked talking to.
Eventually, everyone got busy. The server became quiet.
Now we're rebuilding it.
ATARASHII is an 18+ anime Discord. We have a Season Wall for sharing current shows, /match for comparing tastes and six illustrated Ladder ranks.
We want it to be normal to drop in, say something or just listen. Nobody needs to be around all day.
