NSFW Guidelines

What is NSFW?

NSFW stands for Not Safe For Work. This is content that would not be seen as appropriate in a work environment.

What does NSFW-focused mean?

While some servers may offer some well marked NSFW channels in their server, others choose to focus on the content. Here is how we figure out if a server is focused on NSFW content.

  • The server’s name focuses on NSFW terminology.
  • The server’s description and content heavily promotes NSFW topics.
  • Images and Icons that are explicit in NSFW content and concepts.
  • The server features a significant amount of NSFW channels and content.
  • NSFW language can be experienced through out the server including SFW channels.

What content is considered NSFW?

Here are topics we consider NSFW

  • Sexual concepts and topics.
  • Drugs and drug usage.

Is my mature server NSFW?

While some servers promote 18+/Mature communities, this does not mean the content is NSFW. Some servers just enjoy having only adults around in their community. As long as the server does not focus on the NSFW topics above it will not be considered NSFW.

Banned Content

Please remember that some content is not allowed anywhere on the Discord network. Please see Discord’s Terms of Service for those guidelines. Discord App Terms of Service

How can I report servers and content?

There is a very important difference when choosing how to report servers and content.

Content that is against Discord's Official Terms of Services (see link above) must be reported to Discord App's Trust and Safety Team. Reporting this content to us does not help as we do not have authority to police Discord App's platform.

Content found on Discord Me such as server banners, icons, or other content can be reported by clicking the triple dot icon ( ) on servers after logging into Discord Me.
