We talk news, politics, markets, crypto, technology, and whatever else the chat gets distracted by. You can follow a developing story, share something interesting, post a questionable meme, or just settle into the conversation. You don’t need to be an expert or have a take on everything.

Automated feeds bring in headlines and developing stories from different sources, with summaries and links so you can read further. Talk about what happened, compare the coverage, or catch up without scrolling through ten different apps.

An actual social community
It isn’t all headlines. There’s casual chat, memes, rabbit holes, and plenty of room for conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with the news.

This is actually something different.

I started Big If True because I wanted a place to keep up with what’s happening and actually talk about it. News, politics, markets, tech, or some weird thing someone found that sends the chat down a rabbit hole. There’s a lot to get into, but you can also just hang out and bullshit.

I’ve put a lot of work into the feeds, bots, and website, and I’m still working on making everything better. Having all that stuff in one place is useful, but the people and conversations are what make me want to keep building it.

I don’t expect everyone here to agree, and I wouldn’t really want that anyway. You should be able to have an opinion, question something, or change your mind without it becoming a whole ordeal. A bit of arguing is fine. Just be someone people can actually have a conversation with.

Obviously I’m biased since it’s my server, but I like what it’s becoming. It’s still growing and we’re figuring some things out as we go. If that sounds like your kind of place, come hang out.
