for anyone who's interested here's a summary of the lore of the current campaign [rise of Tiamat]. Ill add a summary of the new campaigns lore when we are playing that one, as I want to avoid spoilers. ill do that here and in the lore channel on the server!
The Cult of the Dragon leads the charge in an unholy crusade to bring Tiamat back to the Realms, and the situation grows more perilous with each passing moment.
The battle becomes increasingly political as opportunities to gather allies and gain advantage present themselves. in the same vein, your decisions WILL matter.
Travelling from Waterdeep to the Sea of Moving Ice to Thay, you are in a race against the cult and a race against time. And they have a massive advantage.
Succeed or succumb to Tiamat. Whether you win or lose, things will never be the same again. If you win, powers will rise again and it will up to other heroes to tackle them. If you lose. the world will be stained a dark crimson, set ablaze in blood and sin.
I will also mention, if you have played rise of Tiamat before, you will notice in the actual campaign that it is starkly different. I plan to tie it into my future campaigns, so I adapted some of the lore to fit. Also, the provided text recourses are absolutely terrible for this campaign, so I improve a lot of them, making them feel less flat and boring.
