Are you new to NFT and do not know what it is? On our server, we have an extensive FAQ channel. What's more, you can ask your own question.

What does NFT stand for?

NFT stands for non-fungible token.

What is a non-fungible token or NFT?

Non-fungible tokens are the ones that cannot be replaced or replicated. Each token has a unique identification code, which makes replicating and replacing impossible.

What are fungible tokens, then?

For example, one hundred bills or crypto coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum are fungible. If you exchange one bitcoin for another, you get the same thing. Fungible tokens are mutually replaceable, while NFTs are not.

Can NFT be copied?

Yes and no. The contents connected with the token are easily copied. For example, someone can download your image or file. But, the copier cannot replicate the token. The reason is that only one such token exists on the blockchain.

Where are NFTs stored?

As soon as you mint (create) your NFT, it gets on the blockchain. You may think of blockchains as databases for your NFTs. Examples of blockchains are Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Binance, and many others.

What is NFT metadata?

It is the information/files/whatever that comes with the token. It can be the asset description, links to author pages, original files, or images.

Can NFT metadata be changed?

It depends. If you select the option "Freeze metadata" like on Open sea, you will not be able to change anything after creation. Want to change the listing then? In this case, leave the "Freeze metadata" field unchecked.

Can NFT be anything?

Is NFT art physical?

Can nft art be printed?

Can nft art be hand-drawn?

Yes, you can tokenize anything from a domain name to your physical possessions. Think of tokenizing as registering an online version on the web.

Are NFTs bad for the environment?

Unfortunately, they are. Every action (creating, deleting, transferring) done on the blockchain requires energy.

Are there environment-friendly blockchains?

Yes, some of them are Polygon, Tezos, and Avalanche.
