Good morning, everyone!

We've officially started the second ever server-wide art contest for new icons and banners for the holiday season! The theme for this season's contest is Ellison Winter Wonderland and the contest guidelines are fairly straightforward in case anyone is interested in joining. There are separate threads for server icons and banners, and voting will be based on each submission category once the submission deadline is passed rather than going through piece by piece and counting how many reactions each post has (which was my original idea on voting before Discord had rolled out that poll feature I completely forgot about. Oops.)

  1. Each submission must comply with Discord TOS. The artwork must be your own work, you can't repost someone else's work or try to claim someone else's pieces as your own. Each user is only allowed to post one submission each for both the server icon and the invite banner, that way it's fair on everyone.
  2. The pixel dimensions for the server icon MUST BE at least 512x512 or some sort of square format. This'll just make uploading it a hell of a lot easier on me to try and figure out which submission is which.
  3. The invite banner pixel dimensions MUST BE at least 1920x1080. Again, it'll just make uploading a hell of a lot easier so I don't have to crop it and cut off any important pieces from your art.
  4. Submissions are open until November 29, 2025 11:59 PM, that way we'll have a nice weekend to vote on who the winner is. We'll have separate threads for the server icon and the invite banner so that way you don't feel pressured to do more work than you'd like.
  5. As far as voting goes, I'll address how that's going to work once the deadline comes around. For now, just focus on your submission(s) and have fun with it.
  6. Winners will be credited for their submissions in the Q-n-A channel, and their submissions will be accepted as the new server icon/invite banner for the entirety of December and January until the Valentine's Day contest comes around.

Secondly, though we've been doing this for a little while now, I've finally made a dedicated channel thread to Writing Workshop prompts that happen every Wednesday. Though we have a new prompt every week, that doesn't mean you can't use any of the old prompts for any linguistic creations that you've been inspired by. I personally have used a couple of the prompts for other RP bots that I've got stewing in the background, and I'll be sure to post them in the appropriate channels whenever I have time for it.

Can't wait to see what all of you have got cooking up! Good luck to everyone that chooses to enter the art contest, and I hope all of you have a wonderful day.
