In the year 2029, the apparent calm belies an undercurrent of uncertainty. Following the conclusion of Legacies, the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted enters a new phase. Hope, finding solace in her father's message, takes on the responsibility of protecting her home with the support of her loyal friends and the entire school community. Unbeknownst to the world, the message she received inadvertently disrupted the boundary between our reality and the Other Side, creating a connection exploited by an unknown entity for an ancient and formidable ritual. The New Orleans witches, despite their earlier leniency after the sacrifices made by Klaus and Elijah, took Hope's embrace of her tribrid potential as a slight to their mercy. Consequently, they wanted to restore the balance of nature. Their spell, intended to strip Hope Mikaelson of her extraordinary powers, backfired, creating a precarious rift between our world and the Other Side.
