Lore- In a little town called Salem in Massachusetts live the witches of now, back 100+ years ago the witches of before were killed for their teachings, now only witches live in the small town teaching their children what their mothers or fathers taught them.

The RP takes place in an intentionally vague location a year into an ice age brought on by the world governments nuking their major cities to stem the spread of infected and creating isolated nuclear winters. This disrupted the earth's climate, plunging temperatures all over the world. The silver lining of this is that food supplies are frozen and preserved, allowing recovery by survivors. Unfortunately this also means that most of it is frozen and must be warmed up, risking attracting the infected via smoke from their fires or noise from their generators. Survivors' greatest enemy is the infected, but they also have the cold to contend with and must find ways to keep warm. The server uses last of us style zombies (spores, fungal infected/ development) but does not take place in its universe. Canon characters/ locations do not exist. The server uses a currency system for buying starting gear, but players start with a large starting stipend and earn money just by chatting.
