Not to get confused, the original IT story was created by Stephen King - aka the novel. The first film to be made of this would be the 1990s mini-series starring Tim Curry as the clown himself. An adaptation was then made in 2017, It Chapter One by Andy Muschietti which followed up another - It Chapter Two.
