Contexte : Après une époque traversée par le tourment, c'est finalement en l'an 1500 que le célèbre et intrépide roi des pirates, Gol D Roger, est exécuté en place publique à Loguetown. Le discours qu'il lâchera avant de mourir entraina une immense vague de piraterie sur le différentes mers, sur Grandline comme sur les quatre mers de ce globe. Votre aventure commence à cet instant. A noter que l'année en cours changera au cours du jeu, mais celle-ci sera actualisée en fonction des évènements. Quoi qu'il en soit, comme tous le monde, vous avez pu voir l'exécution en direct, soit à Loguetown, soit sur des écran géants. Vous êtes conscient que l'époque dans laquelle vous vivez est en train de changée. A vous de faire votre choix, le choix de pour qui vous allez vous battre. Pirate, Marine, Mercenaire ... le choix n'appartient qu'à vous.
