The great war you say, Undoubtedly you have learned about the war and conflict between the gods and goddess overpower and a stolen lightning bolt or even attempting to bring back the first god... Cronus. The king of Titan God of time himself. Let us just say people failed to bring back Cronus although the great war divided the gods and goddess from all pantheons.
But what people don't comprehend is while that was going on, a group of gods and goddess had their plans, operating in the shadows of others they succeeded to destroy the barrier around camp half-blood. Sending in monstrosities from the pits of hell and other locations known to the organisation... The beasts worked their way into the camps, eliminating any demi children in their way. Reducing the cabins, Roasting building, arenas.
Blood was split every direction that y'all turned in.. corpses stacking up.. some in pieces, some with bite marks on their flesh. Weapons lay all over the ground from decreased children.
