We're working hard to improve the tools and functions available to our community with the APC server. As part of this, we're in the works of producing a command that will allow our users to simply convert the tek cost into a structure or resource value with ease.
As you may be aware, the Ark ASA community are currently using 'Tek' as the form of currency when trading items within game. However, many servers just tell you what 100 tek is worth in certain resources or structures, then list their items for sale for 20 Tek for example. It's then down to the user to work out and calculate what 20 Tek would be in those listed resources. Our aim with this bot is to remove that headache of having to self calculate that, when you could just use our bot command to do so.
The bot command is currently under development and is receiving updates daily, however we have already released multiple patches of the bot command so far with it being ready to test in and play around with in the APC discord server. In it's beta stage, the bot can currently take your tek value and a pre-defined input that relates to a commonly traded item and will spit out what the tek cost would be in that selected item. To give you an example of what this command would look like: !convert 50 paste - This simple command line will convert the 50 tek cost into the equivalent paste cost.
To break this down further, using the same example as above:
- The
!convert
is telling the bot the command you want to use - The
50
is the amount of tek you are looking to convert - The
paste
is the resource or structure your looking to convert the 50 into
As of today's patch, the bot will now space our it's output with commas to mark thousands (1,000, 10,000, 100,000). Upcoming patches that we are working currently: Adding error messages, Adding resource/structure after the calculated output.
