Mobile play, Helpers & Halloween are live | BalenaScape

About Server

BalenaScape is a free old-school-style MMO that you play in a browser tab on PC: no download and nothing to buy. Make an account with just a username and a password and you are in.

Train 18 skills, take on 13 quests, 18 bosses and 9 minigames, and pick from 3 spellbooks, all in a world of our own: from the docks of Balenhaven to the deep sea and the Wilderness, where PvP is on.

New on 10 October 2026: Leyweaving, our 18th skill. Mine blankstones, carry them into one of three caverns and weave them into runes at a loom console. The deepest cavern, the Fractured Loom, sits in the PvP Wilderness. The same update added the Aegis Vault, a bank sanctuary in the Wilderness.

Made by a small team that ships updates often and listens to player feedback.

The 17 October update is live: you can now play BalenaScape in a phone or tablet browser with your existing account and progress. Turn your device sideways, tap to walk, hold for more options, drag to turn the camera and pinch to zoom. No app download is needed.

Balena Helper is now built into the game. Open Helpers for session XP and loot tracking, quest guidance, Slayer tasks and drops, goals, waypoints and low-oxygen warnings while diving.

The Hollow Harvest runs from 17 to 31 October 2026 (Amsterdam time). Talk to Morrow beside the seasonal coffer in Balenhaven for your free Ember reliquary. Hunt event monsters, collect Harvest Tokens and Weapon Tickets, and unlock reward chests and cosmetic masks. Players of every combat level can join. Event XP is off by default; 100 Harvest Tokens unlock optional Magic and Hitpoints XP, never Slayer XP.
