Leyweaving is the eighteenth skill: mine blankstones with level 20 Mining and a pickaxe, then carry them into one of three underground caverns. Align three channels at a loom console to turn your carried stones into runes in one short ritual. Click the same console when its threads brighten for an optional extra rune per stone.
Three caves, eleven rune patterns: find Windglass Hollow just northeast of Goblin Camp for air, water, mind and astral runes; enter Embervault at Ironhold for earth, fire, chaos and law. Beyond the eastern Wilderness cliff, the Fractured Loom holds death, blood and soul patterns at Leyweaving 70, 80 and 90. Its entire cavern is multi-combat Wilderness level 28, with normal PvP and item loss. The other two caves are safe from PvP.
Explore deeper: farther engines give extra base rune output. Tide lurkers, Ember scarabs and Rift wraiths drop new tradeable equipment; the Rift also has runite, blankstones and black eels.
Aegis Vault: a new bank sanctuary in the Wilderness with four wardens and a blue barrier. Strike a barrier panel to slip inside; the square stays safe from player and monster combat. Choose Aegis Vault after using Break on a City teleport tablet or Rub on a Slayer ring to arrive beside the bank (normal Wilderness rules apply).
