Making a book called solarflare A massive solar flare hit Earth, mutating animals, plants, and a few humans almost like a disease. Though its not completely bad, some less dangerous than others and can even be kept as pets if tamed. Not all are good though, there's always a bad side after all. Some can be dangerous and deadly, too dangerous for contact or companionship. There's been a rumor going around that the cryptids have a leader of sorts and the way you can tell is the special mark on their body. After months in hiding and being cooped up they eventually ran out of supplies, survivors came out of hiding into a world filled with towering and exotic plants followed with strange and potentially dangerous creatures called they called cryptids. Many found refuge and gathered in an old mansion, while others ventured farther in this "new" world unaware of the dangers they may face.
