Anime Arena is a Discord server built around one idea: fights should be decided by real footage, not stats or dice rolls.
Each player claims a single anime character — any character, from any anime — and that claim is exclusive; nobody else can play as them while you hold them. From there, you battle other players 1v1 using real video clips as your attacks and defenses. Every move you play has a hidden tier (Normal, Medium, Absolute, Over-Absolute), and your opponent has no idea which one you're using — they only see your clip and the resulting damage. Reading your opponent, bluffing with flavor clips, and knowing exactly when to eat a hit instead of blocking is the actual skill here.
Combat isn't just numbers, either — abilities have to make logical sense. An illusion that was never properly triggered doesn't work. A guard aimed the wrong direction doesn't block. If a fight gets contested, a human referee steps in to rule on it directly.
