Founded during the final years of the 36th millennia, amid a period of terrible instability. Numerous Imperial worlds had become trapped in prolonged siege wars against numerous threats. Entire systems fell and many Imperial armies were ground to extinction attempting to reclaim them.
Recognizing the need for a new breed of siege specialists, the High Lords of Terra authorized the creation of a Space Marine Chapter derived from the gene-seed of the Blood Angels. It was decreed that this new brotherhood would embody the virtues of Sanguinius while adapting those traditions toward the prosecution of prolonged siege warfare.
From then on we have engaged in the Imperiums worst battles. We have proven to be among the most loyal of the Imperiums sons. Now after the most recent engagement we open our trials once again. Will you be worthy to ascend into this brother hood?
