A discussion group centered around regenerative agriculture.

Regenerative Agriculture is movement towards growing food and raising livestock in a way that enriches (instead of depletes) the ecosystems we farm in.

Regenerative Agriculture is a response to multiple impending global crises including depleted soils, destroyed land- and ocean-ecosystems, and climate change.

We welcome people of all levels and backgrounds, including those who are curious or have no regenerative ag experience yet!

We just started this new server. A couple friends will be joining soon, and we already have a little interest from online.

I (Josh @ SomaGardens) am trying to kick this off, but I welcome anyone's help (if you're interested in helping, please see the end of this post).

We're going for a discussion group about regenerative agriculture with emphasis on discussion. Unlike the Reddit and Facebook Regen Ag communities (great for finding resources, asking questions, and getting feedback), my hope for this community is to help people develop lasting relationships together where we can collaboratively move forward regenerative ag in our communities, and collectively around the world.

Once online communities grow in the hundreds or thousands of members, it becomes difficult to connect and have real relationships within the community. Luckily, we have an approach for dealing with that: sub-groups. As we grow, I intend to advocate for opportunities for people to connect in smaller groups, where we can form relationships and grow together in our regenerative journeys.

If you have ideas about improving our community including this page, the server, rules, any imagery or themes, etc... We welcome that feedback, please share your thoughts! I don't intend to be the "owner" of this server for long, but rather make it a democratically run community where we all vote and are equals, electing our server owner, admins, and other roles as we see fit.
