J’ai démarré ce projet il y a de cela 5 ans, un peu par hasard, pour sauver le nom de domaine ouvert 11 ans plus tôt. Jusqu’à présent EzCom était une association loi 1901 qui proposait de l’hébergement Web et du développement d’outils de type forums préMODifiés sous phpBB. Malheureusement, l’activité étant en berne de part le fait que ses membres les plus actifs ayant changé leurs priorités dans leurs vies personnelles, EzCom se devait de renaitre de ses cendres.
C’est donc au cours du mois d’octobre 2014 que j’ai constaté qu’il y avait une carte à jouer avec la sortie d’une nouvelle branche 3.1.x de l’outil phpBB dédié au forum. En effet, un manque cruel de traductions des outils complémentaires dédiés à phpBB se faisait ressentir par les utilisateurs.
J’ai donc réouvert un forum « from scratch » pour y publier des tests et des traductions de ce que l’on nomme des extensions phpBB. Depuis lors, les traductions se sont multipliées, le recensement des extensions est toujours plus important. Le forum a trouvé un public de membres qui viennent pour nous questionner quant à l’utilisation de phpBB et des visiteurs toujours plus nombreux qui se rendent sur le forum EzCom pour y trouver des informations, des captures d’écrans, les traductions, mais aussi les nouvelles sur le développement de phpBB 3.3.x & 4.0.x.

I started this project 5 years ago, a bit by chance, to save the domain name opened 11 years earlier. Until now, EzCom was an association under the French law of 1901 which offered web hosting and development of tools such as pre-MODified forums under phpBB. Unfortunately, the activity being at half mast due to the fact that its most active members having changed their priorities in their personal lives, EzCom had to be reborn from its ashes.
It was during the month of October 2014 that I realised that there was a card to play with the release of a new 3.1.x branch of the phpBB tool dedicated to the forum. Indeed, a cruel lack of translations of complementary tools dedicated to phpBB was felt by users.
So I reopened a forum "from scratch" to publish tests and translations of what we call phpBB extensions. Since then, the translations have multiplied, the list of extensions is always more important. The forum has found an audience of members who come to ask us questions about using phpBB and more and more visitors who come to the EzCom forum to find information, screenshots, translations, but also news on the development of phpBB 3.3.x & 4.0.x.
