We at Autistic Taiga 18+ are an animal-themed social and support server for adults diagnosed with autism (or ADHD) who may not fit in elsewhere. The world can be quite cold when you don't have anybody who understands, so why not settle down at our little campfire and see if you can make a friend or two?

Hello, welcome to my server! I try to make this place a safe haven for those of us who have felt outcast by general society due to our mental health issues (particularly autism, though others are welcome!) I hope this place can give you a retreat where you can feel comfortable to be yourself, despite any social anxiety you may have, surrounded by others like you. I particularly pride myself in making sure this is a safe place for those AFAB and PoC as far too much of the internet is not. In case it isn't obvious, this is also very much an LGTBQIA+ friendly server (however there are not channels specific to that as it is othering, every channel is an LGTBQIA+ channel. I am pretty sure that amongst the neurodiverse straight and CIS is the minority anyways!) I am almost always in voice chat from around 9 PM CT (depending when I finish watching TV with my parents) until Midnight, and am happy to help you get accustomed to greater levels of social interaction if you so desire!

This server is for discussing issues related to anxiety disorders such as OCD, GAD, Social Anxiety, phobias and etc. Those simply dealing with anxiety as a symptom or those who want to know more about it are also welcome. There are plenty of mods and we try to cultivate a positive and supportive environment while still accommodating the need to discuss heavier issues. A lot of effort is directed towards minimizing the kind of drama and toxicity that can eat away at online communities.
