π₯ A Fragile Peace... π₯
As the guns fell silent on November 11th, 1918 at exactly the 11th hour on the Western Front, one French soldier felt as though he was stuck in a dream, relieved to be free from the stress of war and experiencing a peace that felt almost unreal to every soul... The War to End All Wars was over.
As the frontlines stood still, the peace talks had began, as the Paris Peace Conference deliberated to determine the fate of the 'Aggressor States' of the Great War, resulting in the Treaty of Versailles against Germany, the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye against Austria, and the Treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine against Bulgaria. Meanwhile, discussions still continue on the matter of Hungary and the Ottoman Empire. The year of 1919 came to close with much progress done towards Peace in the West, even though the Eastern World, The Orient, and even Latin America continue to Fight amongst themselves, Preventing True World Peace.
