In the small seaside town of Ōarai we follow Nishizumi Miho. She transfers to Ōarai Girls High School to escape sensha-dō (the art of tank warfare) due to past trauma. When the student council revives the sport to prevent their school's closure, Miho is forced to lead an underdog team of students in a national championship.
