We’ve made some major improvements to The ISS Orion Minecraft server, including better cross-platform support and a much easier way for Bedrock and console players to join.

Java players can still connect normally at: play.issorion.com

Bedrock players can also join the same server, and Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and other supported Bedrock players now have an easier option: Add "OrionConnect" as a friend on Xbox LIVE.

Once added, OrionConnect can be used to access our server without needing to manually enter custom server information on consoles that normally make that difficult. Our server supports both Java and Bedrock players together, so you can play with the community regardless of which platform you use.

We’ve also continued improving server performance, compatibility, and overall stability, with updates focused on keeping gameplay smooth as the community grows.

Orion Survival has been updated to the latest version of Minecraft, 26.2, bringing compatibility improvements, major performance optimizations, bug fixes and several new features. Below, we'll delve into the various updates, to include reduced background processing, updated plugin integrations and more!

First and foremost, let's delve into the performance upgrades:

Upgraded the server's RAM and physical storage. Significantly reduced superfluous background processing. Optimized ambient systems and recurring player checks. Distributed heavier tasks more efficiently across server ticks. Improved server stability and tick performance under high player loads. Improved wilderness dungeon variable handling.

Now, let's delve into the real meat and potatoes for today's update, the bug fixes:

Fixed missing Leather Horse Armor Textures. Fixed Player Head resource pack orientation. Fixed an issue that was allowing Gems to briefly become negative during purchases. Fixed the Ancient Traveler's stock rotation. The Ancient Traveler can now be accessed by right-clicking the Wandering Trader. Fixed Adventurer's Journal drop protection, incorrectly affecting unrelated custom items. Fixed Catching Net durability and final-use behavior. Dynamite can no longer be used to damage Wilderness Dungeon terrain. Fixed key holograms, which were displaying virtual keys incorrectly. Updated crates, so open crate buttons send players to the correct crate area. Restored the Adventure Pass store entry and corrected its previous menu navigation. Fixed custom-model items, they no longer lose their appearance when being converted through smithing tables. Resolved several compatibility issues.

Furthermore, additional features have been added:

Dungeon Chest rewards now reveal one item at a time, with a progressive sound effect. Player heads now appear in the Profile & Settings panels. Wilderness Bosses now appear on the compass as a live red skull marker, until defeated.
