New York became the epicenter of the fracture, allowing multiple new faces and threats, to show up. Some of them disoriented, some of them, destined to wreak havoc. Most of the heroes seem demotivated and really difficult to make contact with. The Avengers needed a new leader, even if temporarily, to try to put the city back in the rails. And this person, is Carol Danvers.

In doing so he accidentally caused it to blow up, causing the souls trapped in the crown to be set free as green orbs which ended up creating portals all around the planet.
