This is the official server of gribbleschnift, a new genre that I created and am attempting to popularise. I’m currently offering $50 for best song made in the genre in an attempt to get people making it. It’s free to submit a song. Why would I want to create a new genre? Partly for fun and partly simply because the world needs gribbleschnift. I look on the music subreddits and see page after page of people discussing nerdy details of mixing and mastering and prioritising perfectionism and a polished end product over style and originality. My approach to music is don’t bother learning how to work the equipment properly, throw a load of stuff at the page, see what sticks and create some entertaining chaos.
