Arkham Whispers is a serious, text-based roleplaying server set in early 2000s Arkham, Massachusetts. Inspired by Call of Cthulhu 7e, it explores Lovecraftian horror through mystery, dread, and personal, slow-burn storytelling. Magic, necromancy, secret societies, and esoteric knowledge form the heart of a setting designed for immersive and unsettling tales.
While dice rolls, spells, and combat are automated, writing and roleplay take center stage. We feature expanded character options, including nonhuman species like the Snakeblooded, descended from Yig; the Innsmouth-Born, hybrids of the Deep Ones; Changelings, born between realities; and Dreamlanders, shaped by the collective unconscious, and many, many others!
To maintain immersion, all roleplay is strictly text-only. Voice chat is disabled for in-character play, though youโre free to chat OOC in Discord. We ask that players be 18 or older.
