Swift Elite

Before we even begin, we are sorry due to the lack of recent updates. School has really kept many of us busy lately for the past month, so progress has on Swift Elite has been a bit slow.

In the time from the last post to now, Afghanistan fell, the Delta Variant came into the US, and China basically banned gaming for people under the age of 17! Even though Swift Elite hasn't changed as drastically as the world has, we have come up with new dreams and ambitions for the server! We usually post the monthly bucket list in a channel called "『?』patch-notes", but we decided to skip it this month. We noticed that we were promising a bunch of stuff each month, but not completing them. Because of this, we are working on those promised tasks.

Some of the things that we finished/completed/did since the last post include: ・Creation of Events and Competitions ・Creation of a FAQ channel ・Made a new Logo for SE (lots of community support for the new logo!) ・Better organization of roles (When you now join, you also get the "Achievements" section) ・Use of Top.gg and Discord.me (again) for server promotion

Some of the things we are actually working on that were promised/advertised/etc...: ・Creation of the "Swift Store" with items (really in-depth with UB) ・Better advertising of Swift Elite ・Offline Mod Control ・Holding Events and Competitions

Some of the things we want to work on, but are either on hold or need more research: ・Achievements with increasing difficulty ・Creation of a "Bot commands" channel (shows the cmds for the bots in the server) ・Creation of an achievements channel ・Better automation for Events and Competitions

Hopefully with time, tons of effort, and support from the community, we may one day finish these ideas! From the first post we made on Discord.me (around 6 months ago), we had some crazy ideas. The same can be said with the post labeled as "SE Patch-Notes 3: Recent Accomplishments!" that was posted around 4 months ago. In the post, we had some ideas about having a custom economy, embeds for organization and cleanliness, etc.... Those ideas were finished within a couple of months aswell. Although Swift Elite is still relatively small with ~70 members, the server will go into Phase 2 hopefully soon!

As we all might know, Summer vacation is 1/2 completed right now by July... Around 2 months ago, we have set out to complete some ambiguous projects within the discord server. However confusing, we are nearly done with our original plans since May! Since May, we made a list of projects including...

・Economy System ✔️ ・Lottery ・Achievements - Leveling up and completion of tasks with increasing difficulties (easy, medium, hard, expert, and expert plus at the moment) ・Level Up Roles ✔️ ・Competitions ・Games (Pokémon, Gambiling Machines, etc..) ✔️ ・Advertising (must reach level 3. Once per day) ✔️ ・Continent/country identification ✔️ ・LFG finder (R6, Destiny, DBD, Apex Legends, etc...) ✔️

Since our original goals, some of these plans have changed over the months. Such as the ability to advertise at level 5 every 2 hours! Many new tasks have been brought up with the amount of newfound knowledge accumulated over the span of 2 months. Without bots such as Unbelieveaboat, Arcane, Carl, etc..., we would not have been able to come close to our dreams for the server. Although we are prioritizing the past given goals, we have created new, future goals including...

・Hosting of Competitions (jeopardy, game clip competitions, hosted game matches, speed edit/photoshop, etc...) ・Hosting of Events (movie night, talent shows, story time, stand up comedy, etc...) ・Creation of a FAQ channel (basically the "pillar" of the server with all of the information) ・Creation of a shop (the ability to buy/rent special access roles, items, "subscriptions", etc...) ・Creation of task based Achievements (easy, medium, hard, expert, expert plus at the moment.)

Although our prediction of 100 members by early July was incorrect, we have many new strategies to spread the server! Some new ways would be through...

・Use of Social Media ・Adjusting the "tags" of the server ・Promoting the server through YouTube/shoutouts ・Posting of clips from competitions/events to social media ・Posting of clips form competitions/events to YouTube/Twitter/etc... ・etc...

We are thankful for all of the help and support from our community and to those who give us a chance. Hopefully one day, we can strive with a large member count! Hopefully one day, we will be able to make someone's day just a little bit better.

To make the Swift Elite discord server look a lot better, we have decided to learn about "embeds"!

While continuously learning and mastering the creation of embeds for channels such as "『?』swift-news", "『?』free-games", and "『?』patch-notes", we are looking to add more value to the server! As of writing this post, the picture attached seems to be a bit "jagged" compared to its actual version. If you would like to check out the progress so far, we would highly recommend checking out the "『?』patch-notes" channel for all of the upcoming fixes, additions, changes, and future ideas. Hopefully by next post, we will have the "『?』casino" completed with UnbelievaBoat!
