From enchanted forests to perilous volcanoes, beasts ordinary and fantastic called the wild home. Cultivated by equally diverse peoples, incipient culture took root along the trellis of magic. Even the common folk were capable of tapping into primal sources. A terrible epidemic swept Paragon before long, indiscriminate in its spread. Mages near and far suffered incurable ailments specific to their personal weaknesses. Drawing from the element of fire could spark fluid buildup, water retention, and so forth. The ill presented with symptoms too variable to declare a plague, effectively dooming the future of arcana.

REALMS OF DORRON Far long ago, in an era of nothingness, gave birth to the great celestials. Yrtar, the Celestial of Life and Creation, and Sensrasil, the Celestial of Death and Destruction. Yrtar would create the world in their image, creating humans, hobbits, elves and dwarves. Though, disgruntled and disgusted by the peace and tranquility of the realm, Sensrasil would create Dragons and Giants, draconian’s and war-faring orcs. Then they would create the concept of war, death and old age. After such, a long and horrible war raged on, Yrtar made the choice to split the lands apart, then Yrtar created the concept of order, forming two grand dragons to protect the Realm. These two were Asysus, Queen of Dragons, the strongest and wisest of all, and Thondrum, the Protector of Dragons. It is a frigid winter and the time is most similar to the medieval era. The two most prevalent species are humans and vampires, and battle between them is perpetual. Food supplies are becoming more scarce and there are too many people. The king is almost nowhere to be seen, and vampire attacks have increased. Priority is given to vampire hunters, and as the population increases, so do the killings carried out to maintain population control. The vampires, on the other hand, are leading opulent, happy lives. The people who feed people are happy, while people who feed animals lead quieter lives.
