The 2BNB were sent to Kunduz, Afghanistan to search for the leader of a local Jihadi group that has been terrorising the area. Due to the political climate, Russians, Americans, British and Norwegians were active in the area. The East and Western countries were very close to coming to war with a few events that didn't lead to outright fighting but were very tense on the frontline. With struggles in previous weeks from teaching the local Military Police how to defuse IEDs to patrolling the main airport road, the 2BNB pushed past every objective given to them. There were some difficulties with being ambushed and light casualties were sustained - but the main work was hard after the main leader had been found. After relentless amounts of tripwires and IEDs the sections finally pushed through to the underground caves where the Jihadi was hiding. After successfully eliminating him, they returned to the FOB to take a well earned rest.
