The 2BNB made an anti-insurgency Operation in Takistan last week, following the Islamic States more aggressive nature in the region in the past couple of days. The Nords were tasked with taking out the Airfield in the Northern District of the region and to destroy any materials that could be used if it was recaptured.
With careful driving the convoy took it's position outside of the Airfield and the city of Rasman, following engagements with scouting elements. With the plan given a nod, the engagements began and the IFV crew led by Pvt. Spra took the charge into the Southern side of the airstrip while the 1st Section's humvees followed.
Casualties were minimal on the Nordic front, while the enemy was not so lucky. Several APCs and infantrymen were gutted by the 2BNB. Following the successful completion of the task at hand, the 2BNB held their ground against a wave of enemy reinforcements. Helicopters carrying reinforcements hit the ground hard due to the IFV, and enemy tanks crumbled to artillery support called in by 1-Section (led by Capt. Arend & Sgt. Eden). The infantry tried to take cover in Rasman but could not advance enough on the Airfield to be a threat.
With the defence of the airfield and the assault repelled, the objective for the day was complete as the 2BNB awaited NATO reinforcements to hold the Airfield.
