The 2BNB went ahead with Operation: Who Dares, Wins. The current political situation is getting worse by the day and one extremist group took it upon themselves to take hostages within an office complex to garner attention.
The Operators were inserted via rappel from a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter on the roof. After which they progressed downward with only one hostage fatality and all political idealists KIA. No casualties were taken.
Intelligence was found that a PMC was helping the extremists influence the political balance in Norway and thus the 2BNB went in search in the nearby forests. A small camp was found and after a 15-20 minute engagement it was found to be a mainly Australian based PMC working in Norway, but another camp was spotted via infrared from a friendly rotary element.
They secured the first site and reinforcements arrived to hold it. Meanwhile Odin 1-1 approached another camp and scouted it out. This one was more heavily guarded by the reconnaissance that two Operators provided.
Nevertheless, the group pushed in and took some casualties on their first attempt and thus had to regroup after a tactical retreat. Reinforcements were inserted via helicopter once they had secured a safe LZ.
One final push was made and the camp was taken, but not before a counter-attack was issued where an unexpected BMP-1 was spotted and quickly taken care of. With that, the information was extracted from what seemed to be the main camp and the PMC was being funded by Russia.
This information was open much more political discourse in NATO and the UN in general. The 2BNB were ordered to exfil from the AO and begin their debrief at the FOB.
