FAQ

what time are the streams?: stream schedules are subject to change. as of this moment, @meg [ftnd.org] is streaming every day at 6:15 pm est, @TheMadHill is streaming on mondays & wednesdays around 8~11 pm est and @GoldCoin is streaming on tuesdays & thursdays at 8 pm est. keep checking the server's events and/or the 🎞︱𝗻𝗼𝘄-𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 channel to know what movie is streaming next and RSVP. also, be sure to vote for the best time for streams in this poll: 🗳︱polls﹠requests so that we can build a weekly stream schedule that works for you!

how focused is this server on bad movies?: "bad movies" are the main focus, however, my goal when creating Camp Camp was to have a fun space for bad movie lovers like myself to be able to discuss anything and everything under the sun. that's why we also have an arcade and a bar.

what counts as a “bad” movie?: anything you consider to be a "bad" movie. it's completely subjective, but if you need a more concrete reference, i would say movies that are rated under 3 stars on letterboxd and under 5 stars on imdb are a good sort of guideline. that being said, we love all campy movies and cult classics equally here, so try not to worry too much about definitions!

what's up with the streamer role only allowing people that know how to torrent to stream?: discord won't allow us to stream directly from streaming platforms other than youtube due to copyright laws, and even then, you have to use the youtube activity in the streaming channel, which is laggy, confusing and a pain to use. that's why it's much better to stream torrented movies from a video player like VLC.

what has the previous streams attendance been like?: this server is young and growing considerably every day. so far, the attendance has been ~2-6 people at once, but as more members join, the auditorium chat will become more active.

are the streams mic open, mic muted, or optional?: mics have to be muted during the stream, however, if you want to stay after a movie and voice chat with the others, that's fine!
