This mineshaft, which was once active with over 1500 employees mining gold and copper, was abandoned after six years due to it becoming unprofitable. Alexander Wilson, a cave explorer who, in August 2025, discovered something extraordinary in the abandoned mineshaft. While exploring, he found a collapsed section with a mysterious blue glow, revealing large blue crystals. When he touched one of these crystals, it caused a stinging pain, prompting him to photograph them and report the discovery. This led to an investigation and the founding of LAMINAX Laboratories in 2026, located beneath the Cobalt Grove Mineshaft, which was intentionally removed from maps to keep its existence hidden from cave explorers.
