When humans begin to go missing though, and reappear with gemstones grafted onto them, Beach City's citizens must unravel the mystery of where the hybrids are coming from, while helping those who have had their very existences changed adapt.
Meanwhile, life in Beach City and Homeworld goes on as it always has.
