April is almost upon us and in the writing world, that means that Camp NaNoWriMo is almost here!
If that acronym sounds like pig latin to you, it stands for The National Novel Writing Month, which takes place every year on November, and sets a very ambitious goal to all writers taking part; to write 50,000 words by the end of the month. For those interested in dividing the work equally, that's about 1667 words each day. So dedication is definitely needed - but by no means is this undoable!
One year is a long time to wait for NaNoWriMo time to come around again, and that is why Camp NaNoWriMo exists! This is a somewhat toned-down and more relaxed version of the main event and these camps take place in April and July. Therefore... it's time to get prepared for the first camp of the year!
In Writing Pantry, we're gearing up for this month of writing dangerously by making you accountable. Come join the discussion on our dedicated NaNoWriMo channel and assign yourself the related role to get pinged twice a day so you'll stay on track to reach your goal. Ready... set.... write!
