The zombie apocalypse of 2021 annihilated much of the early infrastructure of North America. Forty years later, Cydonia—founded by survivors and improvised governments—coalesced into a cohesive nation that could project power, protect its citizens, and commercialize its frontier. The undead and the rot: The undead plague was halted not by sheer numbers alone but by a combination of kill squads and a world-weary tolerance for extreme rot. In the end, the dead became largely immobile, allowing human society to rebuild with the threat contained—yet the memory of their insidious resurrection never truly faded. President Jimenez tries her best to keep humanity safe from the onslaught of undead and keep the peace within the city walls
