Founded in 2013, WJEB Radio is a "FCC Part 15" low power radio station that broadcasts on 87.9 FM and online through Discord.
Any song you request will be instantly transmitted on the air and played in a Discord voice chat. You can request songs from any genre.
We are currently based in the Chicago suburbs, but before the COVID19 pandemic we were transmitting across the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering from my dorm room.
We love "classic" or "neotraditional" country music. Our playlist is loaded with steel guitar, fiddle, heartache, and the struggles of everyday Americans. We especially love "honky tonk" music. We agree with Alan Jackson and George Straight, a murder was committed on Music Row and mainstream country has lost its roots.
On top of country music, we love playing tropical rock by artists like Jimmy Buffett (Margaritaville, It's 5'O Clock Somewhere, etc.)
